A puzzle game of real mechanisms. Wheels, pinions, weights, mainsprings and escapements behave the way they do on the bench. If a gear turns, something is driving it.

Striking train, front plate removed. The ratchet is fixed to the drum and the sprung click is pivoted on the great wheel, so they turn together while the weight drives; when winding, the drum turns back and the click steps over the teeth. Wheels 60, 48 and 40 drive pinions 10, 12 and 8, so the fly turns 120 times per turn of the great wheel, and its air brake sets the pace.
